SR20 ECU Woes!

Bought a redtop SR swapped 240 2 weeks ago, day after I bought it, the freakin thing wouldnt start. Tested the fuel system, everything checked out but the ecu being that the last owner jumped the fuse and, I guess, messed somethign up. Ran new wires and hooked it up to a switch that only activates when key on. Car started for 2 days then wouldnt start again. Now no spark. Inspected the wires, found on the body harness the wires corresponding to the ignition were burned, the wires on the same pin of the engine harness were corroded, and the ecu was corroded on that pin and was burned up. Fixed up all the wires but needed a new ecu.

found a guy selling a 62 ecu on craigslist, met up with him and tried the ECU on my friends car. The car wouldnt start. Here is where my question comes in. My friends car is built bottom end, gt28r, z32 maf, 750cc injectors, tomei poncams, enthalpy tuned ecu, greddy emanage ultimate tuned by maximum auto sound etc etc. Would swapping out the ecu screw something up to cause the car to not start or does the greddy completely take over the tune and control where an ecu just needs to be attached? THe guy who tuned the car at maximum said there are a few different letters such as A or E or something and not all redtop SR ecu's will work with each other, but all ecu's are 62's, and the same Axxx-xxx-xxx or whatever part number. I just don't want to buy the ECU if it's bad, thinking that it wont start because of the fact of the enthalpy tune, but I also really need a local ECU asap and dont want to pass up the sale if im being stupid by thinking it wont start because the ecu is bad when meanwhile the car needs the enthalpy tune to start.

Thanks and hope I explained this well, I'm going crazy trying to get this car ready in time for drift nirvana this saturday.
