new here BMW M3 owner. yeah, I think im better than you.
I'm new to the Nissan world and just had a few important questions. If you dont have good answers with facts to back them up then do not post in this thread.
Question (1)-What is the torque specs for the flywheel and pressure plate? Question (2)-I need to know how to figure out what motor is in my car. Question (3)-Where is the best place to buy Nissan parts? Websites etc etc. Question (4)-My headlights go up but dont go down. How do I fix this? I've checked the motors and they look to be ok. Where would I start to try and fix this? I was thinking of switching some relays around in the fuse box under the air intake/drivers side to see if I can get them to go down and not up. This would prove that one of the relays is bad. Thanks. -Nick |

2.) LOL is it turbo or no? what year? 3.) enjuku racing, agency motorsports ect. search. 4.) hit the headlight switch, see if that works. maybe it has a sleepy eye mod and it's effed now. Last edited by shiftdrift; 07-12-2010 at 08:28 AM.. |

Pressure plate numbers are 14-18lbs iirc
Question 2 and 4 are referring to your BMW? Google nismo for question 3, you'll find about 3-4 legit sites.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about his 240, being as how he is experiencing headlight problems.
If your car is a 89-90, you have a Ka24e. If your car is 91-98, your car has a Ka24de. That's if your car is stock, and the prior owner didn't swap the engine.

Search on the headlight thing. Im positive ive seen a write-up on this. Maybe 240sxtech articles?? Iirc it has to do with some corrosion in the swith or relay or something like that.

You're better than us and you can't even figure out what motor you have.
PS- M5>M3 all day.

Dude, I hope you were being funny with the thread title.
M3's aren't really impressive, bro, and that's coming from one BMW Driver to another. Anyone who throws the fact that they own a BMW around in such a way is just compensating for something. Oh, and next time you say you're better than someone, don't ask for help. (Disregard this rant if your intent was to be funny.) But, to help with question #4, there is a brown fusible link in the passenger side engine bay fuse box that may burn out and prevent you lights from going up and down. This link burned out in my first 240 and I couldn't figure out what was wrong to save my life. |

Answer 2: Pop hood, look under hood for engine. Use visual analysis and deduce.
Answer 3: Depends if you're looking for OEM or aftermarket/performance products. For OEM there's www.courtesyparts.com or www.thenismoshop.com, among several others. I won't bother listing vendors for aftermarket products because if you're on Zilvia and can't find any of that stuff for a 240SX then maybe you should stick with BMWs.

ditto. i personally hate the sound of m3's its annoying and raspy imo.
also i had an e36 325i put it through the car wash and it stopped working due to water entering by the ecu frying it and other sensors. also my e30 would never run when it was really humid
