I was under the impression that you were supposed to cut the quarter, a la overfenders. If all these cars have the quarterpanel in tact, how are they that low? Apparently I'm missing something, haha.

I like this thread but it seems only about half the people understand the style. The smaller wheels are because its a traditional look like on many classic cars. And the flares and hoops are a throwback as well. I think when done properly this style works great on S13's.

I wish they made that wheel in bigger sizes, those things are pretty cool.

Look awesome on the right car.

15 inch tires were free so I kept 15's. For some reason I kinda liked it.

Its not just better or better taste as I have seen some pretty bad looking bosozuku cars.
Its the fact that there is a lot of social pressure in Japan about appearances. Women don't leave the house without makeup. You don't say improper things. I believe this whole thing seeps into the car world over there. So even if the car is damaged they strive to make it look good anyways.

Its about the appearance factor.

I have seen clips come in from Japan with perfect exterior body panels and frame rails that were just tore up or rewelded. Like I said its all about outward appearance.

When I went to Europe the only people I met that I had a problem with were all French. But then again Ive met a couple of French people here in the states and they were awesome! I think its more about the person than anything.
Anyway, enough bullshit lets get back to this!

A more appropriate name for this thread would be
the 旧車風(kyushafu-)(old car style) thread

Love this thread. Lots of ugly cars posted, but lots of great ones too. Personally, I think 15's look great on stock-body s13's. As with anything, success is only found in proper execution.
