Bumping this from the dead.
Somehow I stripped my left upper tensioner guide hole. Anyone know what size thread that hole is? Could I just retap the hole or would I need to use a helicoil?? Please help! |

Bumping this up as I am at a complete lost right now.
All timing components were installed exactly how it should be - colored links matched dots on gears/cams/cans are both facing outwards also. The problem is when I install my ATI damper with the way the motor is TDC and the position of the crank key the ATI pulley isn't reading 0/TDC position. How will I be able to time the motor in the future if the pulley doesn't line at 0/TDC now? |

About how many degrees BTDC/ATDC is your pully off? Do you mean way off like 20* or so or only like 1* or 2* off from TDC? The woodruff key on your crank is pointed straight up at 12 o'clock when #1 piston is at TDC on compression stroke right? |

I say if you're sure everything is correct, then etch the true marks you need on the balancer and call it a day or send it back and go with stock or another brand.

I am unsure how many degrees. I can take a photo tomorrow but my woodruff key was more at like 11 o'clock...

I don't think this is the ATI pulleys fault. Put the stock pulley back on and see if it has the same problem as the ATI does. If so you know your timing is off. |
