Brakes

hey guys i was reading some brake threads about the r32 and r33 skyline brakes and 300zx brakes. I understand that they are the same parts (ex for iron and aluminum) and brake rebuilding is the same, and they all bolt in the same postion. but one thing i do not understand is why the skyline brakes can use a bigger rotor then the 300zx? I have 300zx 30mm iron brakes so can i use the larger r33 rotors? thanks for you help if you need more info pleas ask

if you have the 30 mm calipers you should stick to the 30 mm rotors, i dont think it would make any difference if it would even work if you went with the 32 mm skyline rotors (unless you get 32mm aluminum skyline calipers). You can get 30mm skyline rotors though i believe, which might still be vented like the r32 gtrs (32mm).

well your brake pads on the 30mm is still going to have the same contact patch on the 30mm rotor compared to the 32mm, so there shouldn't be a difference if your using the same 30mm pads
