Hi all, I am new to this, already search, but only find conversion on appearance on S15 Consersion.

I wonder if the JDM S15 SR20DET can fit into a our S13 Chasis or our S14 Chasis including the 6speed Tranny and ECU....

I am totally new to this.  I have been circuiting with FF cars, but I recently bought a AE86 and find it very fun to drive FR cars.  However, it's way underpower comparing to my other 2 beasts (B18C5 and K20A).   I started to appreciate more and more FR cars and would like to buy one soon.

I also looked into FD but their engine are way too demanding on high maintenance.  So, I came across Silvia.  However, since we don't have any turbocharged Silvia, I really would like to do a conversion on a S13 due to lightness.   I will start learning more on this forum....

thanks

Yeah.  You can put a s15 motor, tranny, ecu into a 240sx.  s13 or s14.
I have heard you need a custom driveshaft due to the longer tranny of the s15.
Finally, if you autox, you'll probably want a s13 or s14 sr20det tranny, as they have 5 gears and are much stronger.

I think the general consensus  is that its better to get an S13 engine and spend the money on mods for that than to get a much more expensive s15 engine.

The only real difference between S15 and S13 SR's is

Variable timing (not always a good thing)
Turbo and boost level, you can take care of that yourself.

No, S15 also has stronger/better crank bearings.
