Drift tax.
Before popularity of drifting in 2001, you could get a clean 125k mileage s13 for $3000...cuz everyone wants a Honda or Mitsubishi Eclipse. |

KBB for a 240sx...LOL, good luck on that one. Atleast you're still in CA, you might still get lucky finding an old lady with one locked up in her garage and hasnt driven it in a decade.

those values are for original, non modified cars. good luck finding a clean stock 240sx in the 1500-2000 price range.

When it comes to 240sx's you cant go based on kbb price. You need to know what things are worth, period. Or you will think your getting a great deal when your not or vice versa.

This comes up every few months and the outcome is always the exact same. Hell I even got one of my quotes from one of these last year.

The KBB value are for stock Nissan 240sx. You may get a clean stock 240sx but they are hard to come by. As one the fellow zilvians stated you may find one in a garage driven by and older individual or an automatic you may want to convert. The basic principle of economics comes in as for supply and demand, however some people over price their cars.

I never go by kbb on any car. Its like book for retards, nothing more.
BTW Why do you want a 240sx? Drift car? Race car? Because everyone has one and its so fucking cool yo? Looks tight slammed low and drives slower then moms Camry? You wanna know what's worth getting these days? Faster, Stronger, Better handling, Safer. All these things factory comparison with 240sx http://zilvia.net/f/cars-sale/505544...ml#post5156920 |

If you don't have 3k to pay for a 240 then don't bother getting into the game. 3-5k is the bare min for any car worth modifying, not to mention what you're going to spend on swaps and parts. Can't pay to play? Then don't and go cry to someone that cares.

I paid 1800 for mine. just shop around, be patient, be confident that you are getting your money worth, and don't be afraid to tell a seller who wont flex at all on a super high price to eat a steaming bowl of dicks.

i paid $2500 for my 93 SE coupe automatic, did the 5 speed swap, and its an original sapphire blue model. so around the $2500-$3000 price range is most likely what your gonna pay unless u wait and get a lucky find or u could get a fixer upper.

But sadly he is right, any decent car is going to be over 3k. There is one for sale nearby me for 2.5k that has a pretty hole rusted in the frame rails... KBB is crap, always do a lot of research before considering a car. They said my Saturn Ion Redline was worth 6k and I sold it for 7.3k. |
