![]() Driving in the rain is not all that bad...given you have the right tires and maybe a LSD (which I have).

I do not understand what you are talkin about but my 240 hold up great with my bridgestones in the rain. but then again I have just under gone a complete drivetrain and suspension upgrade to mine.... I think every part of my suspension is either new or aftermarket....yeah its all new down there with a 1.5way diff.
Never had problem with the rain at all!

my car was fine in shitty rain when I first got it, every bushing is as blown as it could be, tires were decent at best, shocks were shitty, open diff etc.
maybe its just because I tone it down in the rain.

my S14 is fine in the rain as long as i don't get on it too much. i have no lsd and way too much negative camber in the rear.
on another note, my friend and i took his 350 out in "the hurricane" and there really wasn't much to see. Ophelia was weak sauce. |

seriously, I guess Katrina got everyone on edge about hurricanes. I can't stop getting all these phone calls from family and friends about Ophelia hitting NC, and I'm in Raleigh

I live in the seattle washington area which rains like a b*tch, and I have no problem. and I have a open diff and crap tires. The only time i have problems is when my turbo spools around corners and the car decides it wants to steer with the rear tires. But I agree with the others if it's a daily driver go spend a little extra cash on the GOOD all season tires

damn.. 6th s13? let me guess... the 5 previous s13's, everytime it rains you get excited becuase u can power over every corner.. but then u realize.. o crap i need to counter steer and by then ur already off roading, or curb surfed..
Drove my s14 in the rain with a LSD without any problems, you cant just gas it through or else ur already breaking loose. I find it quite fun driving in the rain actually, super low speed drifts and no tire squeel

Anyone realize how bad this guy's spelling "suks?"
Do I have problems in the rain? No. I slow down when I see a puddle (it's that whole "aware of your surroundings" thing) and I drive slower in general. If you're cautious, you can drive a Viper on 245s in the rain. |

I'm from Oregon where it rains about 340 days a year, so i can drive in the rain with contempt and ease. but down here in San Diego you take you life in your own hands driving on a highway after it has rained because NO ONE ELSE DOWN HERE knows how to drive in the rain.
therefore i think it is more a driver than a vehilcle issue. plus i'd rather drive a RWD in the rain and ice and snow because they behave alot more predictibly when they do loose traction makein it easy to correct if you know what to do. |

haha reminds me. I work in a city with a fairly popular state university. The week of the first snowfall, watch your ass. All the freshman from areas that don't get snow are going to fuck shit up. After about a week all the real shitty ones have their cars in the shop, so your safe.
