RB25 NEO S14 Swap
Before I start I would like to thank raw brokerage, enjuku racing, nissan parts cc, wiring specialties, fb parts, frsport and anyone else I missed for helping me with parts and info/advise. I was browsing through all the rb swaps so I decided to make my own. I got a 95 that was an automatic so I converted it then went sr20. Drove the sr for about 6 months and I decided to go another route, RB Also sorry for any crappy pics, there all from my phone
When I sold the sr. I immediately started to second guess my self. I wonder if that motor is running right now. Now with no motor I started to clean up the bay and decided to paint it again. Auto zone only had like 1 can of primer so I had to mix brands lol. After I primed it, I sanded then wet sanded. After many rb threads using the syko kit, I decided to copy. So I bought a r33 x-member from Nissan parts cc. Changing the x-member was a lot easier than I taught.I was too lazy to remove the rack so I had a case of Coors to hold it up lol. I don't know I I really never payed attention but thee sway bar spacers looked like they really didn't do anything. Finally got a friend of mine to paint her in Blitz black from John Deere. Now I got some goodies to install since paint is done. I Installed my 300zx bmc along with some custom brake lines to get rid of the old hard lines. I ran the lines across the fire wall. Got the Chase Bays pwr steering kit all mounted I got a shit load of parts waiting to be thrown onto the rb After all the engine bay work it was time to buy a rb. i decided to go with a rb25 then the engine depot had 1 neo so i decided to see where that would take me. I changed every gasket except head and put in a new oil pump, waterpump, timing belt and termostat. I also hated the crossover pipe so decided to go with a a isis intake mani. Since I bought a push type clutch I had to convert the neo tranny to a push type. I found a local dude who sold me the front cover with clutch fork and sleeve so it was really easy. I also threw on a nismo pivot ball. After that I slapped on my spec stage 3 clutch

My next problem with the neo was the IACV and the fuel rail. I had a friend of mine just make me a new fuel rail and a adapter plate for the AICV.
I didnt want to cut my radiator hose to put the adapter for the temp sensor so I taped the manifold so the sensor is hidden. Put on the manifold and the throttle body today Going to run a oil cooler and oil relocation so I got the oil stud from raw brokerage. As far as wiring goes I decided to send it to Wiring Specialties since I'm color blind and don't have the patience for wiring lol. Hopefully get the motor in this Saturday. All I have left to do on the motor is cooling lines.

was bored a while back so I decided to paint my brakes. They were peeling and really pissing me off. Used some aircraft remover and took off existing paint. Then sanded and primed and finally hit it with some red caliper paint. I used a dremel wire brush and sanded down the nissan emblem
Got the harness back from Yuri @ wiring specialties so I decided to put on the engine and lower harness on the motor. Did my best to hide all the plugs and wires Just waiting on some heater hose lines then this baby is goning in the car. Tried my best This is how sh sits at this moment.

Today I finally go the motor in. As soon as it was almost in we got hit with a wicked rain storm. A little damage to the rad support in the process but ita all good.

We have some issues, you will be getting a call tomorrow from us. My buddy will give you a call tomorrow so you can explain to him what was done to the harness and how to go about correcting the issue. I'll be doing the wiring stuff BUT since it was adapted by your company, it only makes sense to give you first notice of what's happening as I really don't have a pinout for this harness/ECU. Do you know where I can find a RB25 NEO ECU Pinout? Here are the issues, -No Check Engine Light -No Signal To The Starter; When Probed It Works -Car was an automatic converted to five speed. We are getting 12V to the injectors and coils but stopped working on the car as it was getting late, we didn't bother to do anything or even try to start it, we want to get these issues sorted first. |
