Inner Tie Rod Boot, whining/rubbing sound
i have a 92 240sx hatch...
When i turn LEFT (even slightly), i hear a rubbing/whining sound coming from the fender area. I looked under my car and saw that my inner tie rod boot was ripped on the driver side (usdm). i felt inside and the lube was still good though. i also checked the right side for good measure and the boot was intact. Is the ripped boot the cause of my sound? or do i need to replace the inner tie rod... i'm running the following suspension set up in the front: - Tein HE Coilovers - SPL Phase2 Tension Rods - BV Rucas - BV Toe Rods - BV Traction Rods i also think previous owner had put in some degrees of toe. there is definitely slight negative camber up front too. the steering is not affected to my knowledge but i hate weird sounds coming from my car. thanks. |

have you checked your tie rods? also never hurts to see if there's a piece of duct tape flapping at the bottom? |
