***ok HELP me and my new SR! oil burning!
ok so here we go, i recently wrecked my 350z drifting and totaled it =/ yeah MY BAD! but i move on and picked up a s13 with sr red top t25,had it for about 2 weeks. but now its pissing me off...lol its smoking like a SOB when its warm at idle and when running down the rpm's whiteish/blue smoke and reaks of oil. was told t could be valve seals/gaskets or turbo maybe. so i just got done looking around and i got some results. tiny bit of oil in hot pipe and a little more inside the turbo. and then some good shaft play in the turbo up and down and in and out. and when driving as soo as i leave vacuum and get into boost i hear thick clicking sound fron where the turbo is, at first thought maybe injectors were making the noise but i isolated it to the boost and driver side. so is it the turbo goind bad or if not then what?? any help is greatly appreciated and thank you for helping!!!

yup sounds like that turbo is no good, turbo seals going bye bye causing oil to get in the hot pipe, should have no/almost no shaft play that's prob where your clicking sound is coming from too

Seals have nothing to do with the bearings...seals are bad so its letting oil thru around the shaft into the compressor and turbine housings. I've seen turbos do this and the turbo barely had any shaft play. But most of the time, when its leaking bad enough to see oil in the compressor side, there will be shaftplay.
