Odd PS problem on KA S14

Need some ideas here, not sure if anyone has run into this problem or not. Had the car jacked up today to check my upper strut mounts. Turns out they are bad, weird thing is when I set the car back down all of the sudden my power steering assist judders/shakes the steering wheel and the wheels. If I turn the rack slowly it will work normal, but if I move the wheel quick it'll shake. Twice when driving the car and going over a bump the wheel would start to shake violently and had to brake to get it to quit. Brought it back and lifted it up, assist works fine without load. So the problem only occurs when steering quickly, idle or moving. Weird. Anyone run into this or have suggestions. Note PS level is fine, suspension components must be okay if it does it at idle....any help greatly appreciated.

Had this problem. The system was bad. Bad rack, bad pump. Replaced the rack and it got better, then the pump started to make noise and it got worse again. Changed pump and it got better. Make sure you are running the right fluid too.

If anyone has this problem, I kept driving it because I didn't want to spend the money on the rack. Ended up going away and now works like it did. I bled the system twice, not sure what was up with it. Hope this helps someone else.

If it did it once, it will likely do it again. Mine was due to blown seals on the rack. Air kept getting in. Only did it once then went away. Then came back months later, only it didn't go away this time and perpetually got worse. Be prepared.
