Well after like 3 months i finally get things straightened out with fortune auto and sent my rears back to get them 2 inches longer because it barely had enough thread to hold the bottom mounts on..

some parts are rolling in, picked up some rear valences, still gotta get them painted yet.

and now to the goodies=]

disco potatoe..... fuck lag

550s, oil lines, every gasket and stud imaginable, clocking plates

unfortunately i dont think im gunna have time to get the turbo on before this summer, it may just have to wait till next winter, i wanted to redo my head before the turbo so i know everything is good to go, ordering supertech springs and retainers here shortly

If you're doing the head might as well get some cams while you're in there.

I'm not worried about cams really, I'm not looking to make a ton of hp, just want a fun weekend car

A well built KA-t is gonna produce more torque than an sr. Which is what puts you back in your seat. SR's are capable of being built to a higher horsepower than KA-t's though. Really depends on the application you want it for. You can build a KA-t and keep it at low boost and still have lots of fun with it.

Yeah that's true I did notice somewhat of a torque decrease when I went from the built ka to my sr but honestly i think the "torque feeling" that I felt wasn't from the ka it was from the supercharger, I've riden in regular ka before and they are nothing worth talking about, if I could have ran my ka-s practically I prolly would have stuck with it but the way it was setup there was literally no way possible to intercool it, the sc sits directly under the intake manifold and blows straight into the head, not saying ka24der has a bad design but I think it was a bad design from Nissan to start, even on the xterra it sits directly on top of motor and blows down. Maybe if you could get a procharger mounted in there it would be something worth talking about because then you could run an intercooler and keep heat soak to a minimum. By the time your brain told your foot to hit the gas, you went from -20 vac to full boost and spinning the tire, even the t25 felt laggy compared to the sc...

It is what it is though, I'm on sr platform now so there's no turning back, the technology and parts plethora for the sr far oversees the ka..

Eventually once I get bored of this turbo setup ill prolly go straight to rb, 2jz, or v8.... Each has its own advantage but would be fun just to be able to do it

well shortly after i got my new daily i smacked a deer and ruined the front end so i had to rebuild that stupid thing sending me over budget for what it was worth(what else is new haha) and then go figure the struts blow out, and i swore id never ever buy raceland coils, but they were a hell of alot cheaper then gr2 and eibach springs.... so whatever lol they arent actually that bad for 400 bucks and a daily lol. wasnt paying 200 for a hood repaint, plasti? yupp fuck it

rear section of cage all in place

last time i went to tune the car i didnt have anyway of logging off the aem uego wideband, so made a serial to usb with data cable and ground... my plan is to drill holes in the back of the glove box and run those little bolts though the back and then put a nut on them so thats all thats in my glove box is the usb cable and then the solder wont get snapped off, should look nice and clean.

never had a chance to get a catch can on last summer, wanted something specifically for an s14 but couldnt ever seem to find one that i liked, saw the replaceable rad overflow/catch can, but it was stupid expensive at the time and wasnt really what i wanted so i finally found this cusco one on frsport... and since all my other gauges were aem i finally bought the boost as well, i like keeping everything in the engine bay and only running wires in off of a sensor compared to vac lines and bullshit.
