Can't get motor timed properly - please help
I have a twin cam KA24de and I just had the head rebuilt and did a new head gasket and installed some arp hardware.
I got the motor to crank and idle on the very first try. I then started to play with the distributor to get it running smooth. I know it can be hard to get it on the exact right tooth and I feel like I've tried every possible position and it still runs super rough and misfires/bogs down or won't run at all. I have watched countless videos and read so many forum posts about setting the timing and I'm fairly certain I have everything setup right (TDC, cams facing out, dizzy rotor lines up with 1st cylinder wire, its getting fuel and spark etc.) and I still can't get it to run right. does any one have any tips or suggestions as to what it might be?? |

Currently tackling the same situation but mine is turbo and the afr's are leaning out . But from my experience. MAF injectors TPS 02 sensors . Vaccum leaks . IACV . ... things in that nature I was having problems with idling too at first .
