I'm poor so rb20det requires less mods to get it in the car, but parts are a bit more expensive then ca or vg30 If the engine breaks down. Not to mention the sexy inline 6 sound

Those are three odd motor choices...Out of the three the best bet for power would be the VG30DETT but none of those are gonna be cheap to get in.

Why not just do an SR or keep the KA

I'm not concerned about a break down, I just want the most HP for the least amount of money and its going to be like a new engine anyways after the rebuild. I must say inline 6es do sound sexy tho lol

So you want a cheap engine to fully build? Why not put a little more investment in and start out with something that will make decent power?

You going to get the cheapest engine parts possible too?

Just save your money and dont cheap out on parts that have no redeeming qualities. Don't look at what's cheapest right now, look at the long run. Either cheap out right now and build it twice or multiple times, or save your money and invest in quality parts that will last and pay off for what you paid for in the long run.

I'm getting a cheap engine because I'm doing a full build so when I'm done it will be like new even if I spend 500 on pistons and connecting rods forged is still better than oem I'm going to build one of these engines either way so you can add your advice to do so or shut your mouth

Woah woah woah. Easy there Lone Ranger. Before you get your panties in a bunch. I was respectfully trying to give you advice since in your original post you obviously did not state any of the info given. But now since your back on your high horse and have your attitude I further more have advice to add.

Haha well before I "shut my mouth" as your saying. How about you fucking hit the search button before you look stupid like you already are for asking a question like this. I was giving friendly advice to help you out nor was I flaming but how your coming about this is making you look really stupid right now.

2nd off building motors is not cheap. "Wanting the most hp for the lowest amount of money" like you said is sounding like how many knock off parts can I buy to get the most amount of money. I understand that not everyone is baller and has a budget as I am not one of those people nor claim to be. But before you flame people for helping you out how about you go to google, a search bar thats on the menu above, or even a forum specifically for those cars or motors and see how easy it is to extract power out of those motors for your build, for your needs.

Either way you are going to build one of those motors so either search more instead of asking a question that sounds like every newb asking a question when it can be easily answered or shut your mouth.

Respectfully,
Friendly fellow Zilvian

Now Okinawandrifter87 pay attention cuz your saying the same shit he said and your not giving advice when your telling me to get something different and I'm not going to Google this and get out dated results and in accurate info I want advice from people that have experience with these engines not go get a v8 or save up for an rb26 or 2jz, and espicaly don't tell me don't cheap out on parts cuz a full build eathier way is going to cost at least 4k said and done so shut your mouth

Silvia716
Yes Silvia716 I am paying attention. This is true I was not giving advice when I said that and I admit that, however I said that because you did not provide as much info in the OP as you needed to as you explain more and more in your on going posts.

Now pay attention as well. I said get something different cause you did not say in your OP what your "full build" consists of. Im not saying your one of them or a newb but so many newbs join this forum and tell us they're fantasy dream list or fantasy full build ask questions then never build or do basic mods.

No one here can read your mind what your full build is. Before you jump the gun and flame you really need to be thorough with what your doing, what you've done to research it, and more specific questions like " hey I plan on doing a full build with these parts, money is not an issue in the long run, Ive searched these sites or used these key words.. can anyone give me advice or even at least point me in the right direction of where i should start looking?"

not

"So I was planning on getting an engine this summer to do a full build and I came up with a few choices of engines price is a factor I can get these engines for about 1k a peice witch do you think is best to get the most power out of for the lowest amount of money

Vg30de/tt

Ca18de/t

Rb20det"

Cause in post #14 you clearly state how the full build is going to cost at least 4k minimum insinuating that money is clearly going to be spent since its a full build yet in post #1 you state with a few choices of engines price is a factor? Either way whatever your story is or case. Either punctuate a little more properly ( im not saying be perfect) or figure out what you want better.

And no one said get an RB or 2jz or anything. I clearly stated go to a forum specific to these cars that have these motors or motors besides this one since you did not find the info you were looking for on this site. Because you clearly want advice that is specific to your "full build" that is specific with these engines that is why I said look at other forums cause not all but a majority of the people on here do not have those motor swaps. Not saying there are none, just saying it is more limited on this forum. Either way search more.

Im not here to flame on you just the way your coming across is, your expecting help yet your not showing what you've done on your part to help us help you out, and the moment someone says something you don't like whether it's me or another zilvian you get your guard up or start flamin other people your self.

I'm not trying to flame it just seems like a lot of people on here forget the main question and say what they would like to do if they had funds. The reason for the engines is that they are 1k I don't want to spend 3k on an engine then 5k to build I looking for about 4-6k total for the build and this is not a dream I have 3 other cars and 2 jobs so its gonna happen and this forum deals with the cars that theese engines come in the 180sx 300zx and skyline

700hp from like 6500-8500rpm. Lag monster.

And there is something wrong with your buddies setup.

Head over to KA-t.org and you will see how much power the KA can put down.

You can get a KA for $500 too, Just trying to save you money

You mean 500 for just pistons and another 2-400 for rods. Then 500ish(probably more) for just the machine work, hot-tank, hone, ring fit, wrist pins pressed in, crank balance, bearings checked, etc.

There goes more than half of a 2k budget.

No good forged piston/rod combo has a press fit wrist pin silly

Shoguns motor cost him a little more than the 5-7k you wanna spend. Stop being ignorant and listen to these people that actually know what they are talking about. IMO a ka is your best bet.

My man Jacobs13 even has or recently had a SR block that just needed a simple rebuild for a 100 bucks. Way better than a 1000 dollar motor esp when your going to rebuild it and give it a "full build" anyway.

See this went from you better be wearing a fully retardant flame suit to us still trying to help you. Its not a bad deal there. 1000 bucks and you can still go the full build route cause you said earlier that the only reason you had those choice of engines was cause price is a factor. Well there it is! Snatch it up!
