Help:Evo 9 or dc5 Recaros in a s14?
Has anyone seen or have either evo recaros or DC5 recaros on a s14? I have a pair of evo 9's but they seem to sit too high. I dont know if I was to get the super low rails would help. they are about 1.5 inches from hitting the roof.

do you mean the top of the seat is 1.5" from the roof or your head is? If the seat is that close, i personally would try to source some DC5 and see if they sit any lower

if you really want to use those recaro's your gonna have to get seat rail. the super low ones are best.
eBay Motors: BRIDE MO SUPER LOW SEAT RAIL NISSAN S13 S14 PASSENGER ! (item 290261565108 end time Mar-16-09 21:34:05 PDT) cant argue that at all. 3 bolts bolt up perfectly. one over laps perfectly. lol. but it holds my 240lbs ass w/ no issues while sliding. not to mention you have bragging rights. I got real JDM ass sweat on my seats on my seats. |

Those are just tall design seats. I had a Recaro SRD in my car for 2 years, got tired of not being able to wear a helmet comfortably and ditched it for a Bride Zeta III

It's all in the rail. I had a SR3 on a Juran rail on my passenger side and people who were under 5'8 had a hard time seeing over the dash.
[/quote] where can you find the Juran rail at? I tried looking for no luck |

Put the seat straight on the floor and you can see how much you have to work with.
The Recaros he wants are bottom mount so they will take up space unless you bolt the seat straight to the floor. Stock 240s have about 36-37" of headroom measured from seat to ceiling, maybe an inch or two less if you have sunroof. By using bottom mount rails and cutting the floorboard, I was able to get 43" of headroom even with Kirkey seats that have a firm bottom support. I haven't seen any good bottom rails for 240s. The best sidemount rails I've seen are Bride FGs. Good luck. |
