Sold Eleanor yesterday for 4200. Got new tires on the 63, and it's running sweet. Timing was off by 8 degrees. Not nearly as fast, being it has 135hp/200 ft-lbs and another 1000 pounds to move, but it's really nice and comfortable. Got a seat for it too.
The website will soon be changed back to the regular site, and when I have enough stuff, I'll start posting pics of the 63 project. I may end up getting another Nissan truck if I can find one really cheap with a ka24e in need of rebuilding. I'll let you all know. Don't worry, I'll have another Nissan sooner or later. The Ford is definitely a chick magnet though.

I checked out the website--nice truck. Sorry I am not in the market for a truck... I just got my new(New to me) S13 a few months ago. I have a question for you. Why did Nissan put the SOHC in a 96 pickup? I mean.. if the DOHC makes more power, is used in more vehicles at the time (240, altima, (pathfinder??) wouldn't it have been easier and provided better performance to use the DOHC? just curious.

ha. where you been. well at least you're having fun with the new truck. it was nice having another person on the board that would modify their vehicle to get a little more power for little or no money.
aj: usually SOHC heads are cheaper to build, and cheaper to rebuild if something goes wrong. also i believe a SOHC's torque, no matter what brand, seem to create torque at a lower RPM.

I'm glad to hear you managed to sell it, but sad to hear that it is gone. So, when you going to test the durability, I want to see it(even if it is a Ford.) I may have a source for a T5 tranny and a Chevy 10-bolt rear end for the Volvo, give me a call sometime.

Hey chickenmanq,
I got a KA24E that I'll let go for the price of a McDonalds combo. Only problem is, you gotta pay for shipping from Toronto Canada. Yes, the land of Igloos.

Awww, there's still love on the board. Thanks guys. Yeah, a 240 I might consider. I'm getting out of NAU in December, so making real money isn't too far off. White S13, if I had a truck or 240 to stick it in, I'd buy the engine. Unfortunately, all effort is going to the Ford. Paid off all the credit cards. That was painful. Fucking bastards raped me for all I was worth. It's nice not to have debt though. The bummer is I'm probably going to have to wait until summer to paint the Ford. Oh well. It's running pretty good now, though. Rory, I'll try and give you a call. I'm slow to email right now, since I still haven't bought a modem.

Hey, what's up S13grl? Been on my back mostly, panting and groaning......under the '63 that is. Her name's Alberta. Don't know when I'm getting a 240. Possibly in a year or two. Or I might just get a truck again. Also thinking about getting a Ford Ranger, or 80's Ford fullsize and preping it for baja. Want to do that when I get out. We'll see.
