just bought the car. has a P/S fluid leak. after searching on here to fix/find/even rebuild pump...i found that it is suppose to have ATF not power steering fluid. so i need to know how to flush the system so i can fill it with ATF and see if that is what's leaking and then figure out how to fix it. i just hope it hasnt F'd up the R&P. under the steering fluid resevior, there is a black hose, a screw on clip at the top.
Another clip at the end of the black hose. Loosen the clip to where you can yank the black hose off. 1 Put a gallon pan under the steering reseviour. A lot of cardboard under the whole front. incase you live in apartments 2 Take of the black hose and let all the dark fluid out 3 NEVER STEER THE WHEEL WITH NO FLUID IN THE RESEVOUR

I took off the reservoir and dumped it out. Refilled with ATF fluid and some more thickener, just keep topping it off until you bleed out all the old fluid.
