car dies when put in neutral

Hey guys i've been experiencing some problems on my blacktop sr20det. Couple nights ago im about to approach a stop light so i put it in nuetral while its rolling to the light my car dies on me so i start it right back up and drives normal. Other thing is when i put i cruise and put the car in nuetral the rpm drops below 500rpm stutters like its wants to die out then it will go back up to 1000rpm. Any one know whats going on with it?

Thanks
Jimmy

Probably need a tune up

When was the last time you changed your plugs?
Clean the MAF and AICV,
Make sure ECU is Grounded.
throw in some Fuel Injector Cleaner.
And check for Vacuum leaks

Is this just recently that it's been happening? Do you happen to have a BOV that's being vented to the atmosphere? Just wondering because it's pretty common for the SR's to act like that with a BOV. Just gotta change your driving style a bit to help keep the RPMs from dropping below 500.

Probably the BOV. Try tightening it a little and check what happens.
