Track Day: 02/21/04 Buttonwillow West Loop - president day!
Please visit our forum for more info... Private Events Forums
I believed this is a holiday for mostly everyone. So NO WORK AND SCHOOL! Come out and play! Signups for running the West Loop Button Willow are open. It will be limited to 15 drivers, signups are on a first come first serve basis. Please contact [email protected] to register. Include your full name, contact information, emergency contact information, car make, model, and color. If payments are made through paypal it will be $135 with the online fee processing. Cash at the track or otherwise will no longer be accepted. Sorry, we just spend too much time running the event to be collecting payments on the day of the event. We will still accept check or cash payments mailed or hand delivered to Al or Erik. Please contact [email protected] or [email protected] for any questions regarding payment or additional information. -Al |

hey Al,
I was hoping for the East loop because I've attended (not driven) two events on that side, and it was a good course to learn and experiment with drifting. what do u think about the east loop for drifting? it seems a lot faster with fewer sharp, low speed corners. thanks, Chris p.s. whoops, I meant to say what you thought about the west loop course for drifting. most likely though, I will be there at least just to ride along with people. Both side of the track has their own advantages.
When I was trying to learn high speed throtle control, the esses on the westloop had help me a lot. The long sweeper (Mazda Turn) also had helped trying to hold the my drift longer. Its very challenging on the westloop. Eastloop to me is more Highspeed and make sure you don't go off. I have a Takumi syndrome, I know what needs to be done to get the drift on but its hard for me to explain unless I show it to you. We are opening the East Loop but we are using it for the US D1 Practice. So Eastloop is for Advanced Only. -Al |

High speed throttle control? on that POS? better go full throttle all the time, so the hamsters under your hood dont stop spinning the wheel.

Ya i know your car gets more sideways, but you still have hamsters under the hood. I guess whatever gets the job done.

For once i agree with you. Drifting an s13 with sr, coils, and a 2-way is like spreading butter on toast.

I dont let anyone drive my car for one reason If something happens to my car, i'm gonna hold you responsible. Even if it's not your fault. So to save you and me the hassle of fighting and me having to kill you if you dont pay me, i'll just not let anyone drive it. ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WITH NO MONEY

I understand.
Whenever you are out there. Let me know if you wanna drive my car, It it breaks down then I understand that its MY fault for either not taking care of the car, or not making it secure for heavy driving. Last year, From what I counted I had over 150 guys that drove my car. Luckily, it didn't break down. -Al |
