How can you tell real DMAX vs. rep?

Looking to buy some DMAX type 3 aero locally from a guy who says its real. How can I differentiate the authentic DMAX from the replica?

What color is the clear coat?

You can't really if its a white clear coated kit or aero piece. Dmax usually puts a random paper sticker on it, but it always falls off regardless.

It appears as just black matte primer from the pictures. Either that or its just the color of the unpainted fiberglasd

if its black matte primer then it doesn't make sense or usually means its a replica.

Should be a glossy white.

Should be glossy white and test the fitment. Dmax pieces have spot on fit. if it fits like ass then its fake.

Lol my genuine Dmax roof wing didn't fit at all, it was curved opposite of the window curve. Made it fit though.

The aero fits very well just not the roof or trunk wings.

The best way to tell is to test fit the aero. Also if it's a dmax type 3 kit by chance the flare is often replicated but never as aggressive as the real deal. Hope this helps some.
