R33 calipers, need some help.

So I decided since I have no abs I might as well grab some better calipers....so I look on ebay and I find a nice near new looking set of the sumitomo calipers. I thought all the 4 pot calipers are the same....little did I know the R33 front calipers use a larger rotor...of course I found this out after already hitting buy it now

the exact specs the R33 GTST uses is 296mm diameter x 30mm wide. I know the rear calipers and rotors are the same as a Z32 though. My question is will the Z32 front rotors work with those calipers...they are still 30mm but are 280mm diameter. On many after market sites I see the brakes for the z32 and R33 are the same part #. Any one ever experience fittiment issues with R33 calipers using a z32 rotor?? Just wondering b/c those 296mm rotors are sort of hard to come by in 4 lug.

Dont try using the Z32 rotors instead do what MrMcGarett did here:
http://zilvia.net/f/sale-items/27028...-calipers.html

I can vouch that they work. Just drill the rotors to 4 lug and you are done.

Will those fit? The GTR calipers are bigger (296x32mm) vs R32/Z32 (280x30mm)

The earlier picture is rear R32/Z32 and is 296x22 iirc (width 22mm iirc)

Front are 280x30

I upgraded front too and use R32/Z32 caliper with 350z disc 325mmx30

This is wrong ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

R32GTR's use a 296mm x 32mm rotor! I know I owned them and ran them. Oh and finding rotors for them is tricky because of the width vs diameter.

Z32 Rotors will not work properly because though the Z32 rotor is only 2mm thinner its a whopping 15mm smaller in diameter.

Z32 rotors are 280mm x 30mm

As far as running a 350Z rotor goes, why? It would be larger diameter wise for your caliper, though technically not worth doing because you are not utilizing the extra surface area of the rotor because the caliper will cover it.

Those are the wrong rotors.
You need the 97-00 Q45 rotors.

does anyone know if I can use the 97-01 q45 front dust backing plates for the front brakes...I'd rather not cut/grind/repaint my 240sx ones

Just got my calipers in....damn these things are meaty as fuck! I didn't realize how wide they are....porbably going to need a5 least a 8mm spacer for my stock alloys to fit them. So I got my brake lines and calipers....just waiting on the rotors and I still need to get an ebrake assembly

I wonder how these huge as brakes will be without abs....
