S13 SR20DET simple mods

So i'm new to the SR world. I hope not to get too much of a hard time if what im asking has been covered before which I wouldn't doubt just couldn't find the answers i was looking for in the search. Been considering doing a SR swap (non s-chassis). I was considering on getting a S14 SR to start off with a T28 but a S13 SR T25 seems to have fallen into my hands rather cheap (import engine). I heard the stock whp was under 200whp. I would at the minimum would like 200whp but if i could be at a conservative 250whp would be nice. I've heard some people mention getting a S14 T28 on the S13 blacktop and I'm going to assume the internals are the same if not close between the S13/S14 blacktop variations aside from the VVT (correct me if i'm wrong). So my question is what can i expect from the stock S13 SR. On top of that if im trying to hit 250whp what is the most I can do with stock injectors, maf, ecu without having to go afermarket ecu and tune. I will have a walbro 255. Intake/aftermarket turbo mani help much also?

thanks in advance

Unless there is an issue with the search bar I typed in the same thing I'm asking about and I didn't find what i was looking for. Also Google searched but I didn't find those details, excuse me for asking 😑🔫

No need to go aftermarket ecu, you can get a mail order rom tune through rs-enthalpy.com

i've heard good and bad things about them. Is it safe to get a rom tune and just drive it from there or would i still need a dyno tune? (im assuming so)

Rom tune is fine. Rs Enthalpy changed hands many moons ago and I can't remember ever seeing a bad review since Martin took over.

I would just fit,
FMIC
free flow exhaust
air filter
T28 off an s14 (a lot of import s14 and s15's came with BB t28's)
uprated fuel pump
1 bar of boost
some kind of ecu chip
98 ron ++++ fuel
that should see you at about 280hp which is the limit of the AFM and injectors.

a Z32 AFM and some s15 injectors and a gt28rs aka disco potato would see you at 250hp but you may aswell stick some 740's and a gt2871r or a gtx2867r and be near 400hp. a stock unopened SR will take 400hp providing its not knackered before you bolt it all on.
