Who's Megan header/manifold has cracked on them?
I hear all this talk about Megan Racing headers cracking, but i have yet to know someone who has actually cracked one. So my question is, is there anyone on Zilvia that has had a MR header crack on them? How long did it last before it cracked?, and where you running the bottom support bracket that comes with the header?
Following one of my recent "off-road adventures" while drifting, i slammed my exhaust pretty bad, my 3" round midpipe was pretty much converted to a 2" x 4" oval. Following this, i removed my megan header, because i was sure i cracked it (i have a solid down pipe w/ no flex joint, and solid motor mounts) but to my surprise the manifold was totally fine. These manifolds are super thick, maybe the older ones where made thinner and that's why they cracked? |

Solid engine and tranny mounts are all you need to prevent cracking.
Id go the extra mile and get poly exhaust hangars, and maybe take extra care aligning everything. I have an xtune header, been through hell and still is awsome |
