cam position sensor code

So after months of trying stuff to get rid of my very slight missfire i finally learned i can check the j4 ecu for codes. Doing so it blinks twice which is cam position sensor.

Is it pretty much a dead part or is there any chance it is something else in that part of the engine? Like my timing being off (double checked its fine) or wiring or something. I did the wiring when i did the swap so if i messed with that circuitry where should i look?

Just looking for any tips before i throw more money at my pit.
