Take the whole egr valve off with the pipe attached so you have space to work. Get the huge wrench you need for that, heat it up with a torch and twist it off real quick...shouldnt be too hard!

I actually usually use a standard size wrench to take that nut off.
As for the stalling..vacuum leak? idk.

the car doesnt' actually stall.. it only happens when im driving and i drop the clutch. Instead of returning to idle, it'll just drop below where it'll almost stall and come back up. I was thinking a vacuum leak too..don't know where though..

sprayed WD-40 the night before, removed other parts in way (including hood), used adjustable wrench got an angled that would allow me to put all my weight on it, and gave it a quick jolt, boom got it off, at first i was going to remove the entire intake manifold but took a sandwich break and was able to take this badboy off. just get in there and start wrenching playa!

ok soooo..
i eventually got my egr switched out..ended up just undoing the pipe on the egr side. but... the exhaust side got sprayed with 'liquid wrench' and wd40..and now i think theres a leak there.. after driving for a bit, the engine bay will get hot(hotter than normal) especially on the exhaust side. I can put my hand on the hood and it'll be hot. it'll get warm near the pedals if i'm driving on the freeway for awhile. how can i fix this? is there a way i can add something to maybe "close" this leak?

is there any kind of flexible pipe that will withstand the heat from the exhaust in replace of this metal egr pipe?
i want to cut off the egr pipe completely and just put it some kind of flex pipe so it can be adjusted.
