hope this helps.

ECCS Relay on left side of pic.

1 - Red
5 - Red
2 - Red/Black
3 - Black/White

Either red can go in 1 or 5. They go both go to the battery.

Thanks man! But I tried it and it didn't work.. my car seems to only turn on when I press the red wire to the ground (black) wire.. I'm not sure what's going on with my car but when I touch those 2 wires the fuel pump primes and the check engine light turns on and the car turns over, but when I connect it to the relay the fuel pump doesn't come on and neither does the check engine. Any thoughts on what it could be ? And once again thanks for the help!

Verify that the two solid red wires have 12v+.

The red/black comes FROM the ecu and triggers the relay. The black/white should have 12v+ when the key is on and nothing when the key is off.

Wire it up like I said above. Turn the key on and feel if the relay clicks when you turn the key. If it does then everything with that relay is fine and you need to look for other problems in the system.

I don't have a multimeter, also it can't be the relay since it's a brand new wiring specialties harness

I'm also being told that this could be happening because of my grounds, my old harness had 3 grounds and the new wiring specialties harness only has 2. My 240 is a 1998 with a ka out of a 96. do you think it could be that the harness isnt compatible?

Do not assume that just because it's a brand new harness that it can't be the relay, that is simply not true. Things happen.

Like he said, wire it like the diagram, physically feel with your hand if the relay clicks or not.

The relay only clicks when I touch the red (power) wires to the ground wire, but when I connect it all the right way it doesn't click.

Okay the relay clicks now but the fuel pump doesn't prime, I know when it works because my check engine light comes on, but when it goes away it doesn't prime, any other thought s as to what it could be? Also thanks for the help
