Auto Tranny shift module delete for 5 spd swap
Hi all,
My 93 coupe SE has been 5 speed converted, and while doing my SR swap wiring, I stumbled across this box, which after research, shows it's a auto shift module. P/N 31036 53F01 ETC-N100 3513. Being that my car is now manual, and this unit works for an auto tranny, i can delete this box right? On my SR harness, there's a white plug similar to the dash plug, but its female that I believe goes into this box, can I also delete that? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |

Another problem I just encountered is my wipers. There is no engine in my car, therefore no engine harness. I plugged my battery into the positive terminal on my chassis harness and grounded it, and had power. I was able to roll my windows up, turn my lights on, etc. but the wipers went crazy. With the wiper switch in the off position, they still turned on and their speed went crazy. Super fast and then slowed them off, then super fast again. I hear the wiper relay clicking every time and when I unplug the wiper motor, the relay still clicks. Any thoughts on what this could be?
Also, can I delete the green shift lock box under the dash? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Update-
I tested for continuity on the connector for the shift module and I found that a few of the wires run to the fuse box. This is good news although the connector seems to have around 40 wires and this eliminates 8 at most. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I was able to plug my completed engine harness into the chassis harness and it did in fact power on my power FC. I was able to go through all the functions and systems through my commander. I'm lead to believe this module isn't necessary, but if anyone says otherwise please let me know. Thanks!

That module is not necessary. I've had mine unplugged for 10years now without issue.
