Rubs? What tire size are you running? I ran a 225/255 previously and fit fine with no rolled fenders. When I stuffed my 245/275 my front still clears fine and my rear just needed a roll.

275 in the rear. Rolled the fenders today. Good to go, no more rubbing. Took it out for a spin to see how it grips when the car isnt leaning on the tires while cornering. I <3 fat grippy tires.

You're right that would look like shit.
235/50 I run 225/50's on the s14 SE wheels and those are 16x6 [iirc] So 235 wide seems about right for 7" wides.

hmm lets see so 225 50 seems reasonable. For some reason im thinking 60 tell me if that's stupid. or 55...
i'll go and buy them as soon as i figure out =0P |

1. Because the normal/stock sidewall off a 15'' should be 60
2. it'll fill in fender gap more without having to dump it even lower since it's low enough? correct me if I am wrong. But then again I don't want my tires to wobble so much since the rest of the car is stiff ass hell. |

sidewall is the aspect ratio. So, the wider the tread. The lower the aspect ratio to keep the same sidewall height. You want the same height to keep the same final drive.

FROM WHAT YOU READ... i said 15, which is why i said 60. hence trying to keep my final drive. But i might be wrong about this i'm just trying to fit the most on a 15 but still keeping my final drive. Im just wondering if it would be that big of a difference anyway if i went 55 on 15s...

last message I read from you was "225 50...", and the posts above that mentioning the 225/50's are in regards to s14 se's, which are 16". Furthermore, even on 15's, if you are going 225's, you DON'T keep the same sidewall ratio. Want to know how much it will affect you? look for "tire size calculator" on google & input the numbers. 225/60 will totally fuck up your final drive & acceleration & make your car look like crap w/ a semi-truck sidewall.

Seriously put some azenis, feddy 595 rs, re01-r's, z-1 star specs (my next street tire), neova's, hankook rs2's, etc... on there in those sizes and it'll feel like you're driving on glue in comparison to the pirelli's. With some REAL r-compounds (none of the above listed tires are r-compounds by the way) in those sizes.....sheeeeyyyyat!

are federal 595's really that sticky?
i would have guessed the opposite, since the drift fans seem to like them. either that or they just stretch well. since that's totally a good measure of a tire's worth and all... *edit* just saw the "RS" part of the 595 designation. i'm guessing that's a more "stick-oriented" tire than the generic 595? lol |

i think drifters like them because they don't fall apart when they are (over)heated. but i'm not a drifter so don't take that as gospel.
