Fiberglass kit wont fit
Sideskirts are an inch too short on each side =( I got the rear bumper on fine with very little sanding and managed to get the front bumper on but it was way too wide so right under both headlights and infront of the intercooler there are these big arches in the fiberglass from being pushed together at the corners to the fenders. My question is how in the world do I fix it?

Its a URAS Type 4 and I have a bumper retainer so it shouldnt be sagging that bad. Im going to try to raise the retainer a bit and see if that helps it all. I ordered the kit for a s14 kouki and those are oem fenders. its doing the same thing on the passenger headlight but what about the part in the middle infront of the intercooler down low?

Maybe pull the fenders where the bumper meets the fender just slightly so it takes less tension off? I dont even want to go through selling these fenders and waiting for bigger ones in the mail

Its a URAS Type 4 from Chaser Aero. "Steve" was the guy and I called him atleast 5 times to tell him to double check and make sure that 1 kit is all s14 and 1 kit is all for an s13. ill post pictures tmrw of the skirts and a better picture of the shitty front bumper and the cracks. I already drilled holes in everything so I dont know If I can get a refund? what do you guys think?

I contacted them (prior to drilling) and they said all they could possibly do is give me some money off of another product of theirs. I took a $75 dollar loss cause I didn't want to spend more money on another shit product. If I can find it in my garage I will probably shoot it soon!

http://www.aerokits.net/cart/images/nissan/m127_9.jpg U can kinda see the same "too wide" "wavy" bull that this dude is complaining about. And btw at 240$ a kit , quit whining. Drive it, blow it up, 240$ ain't a big thang. Also funny they are using kielys car as a demo car still. Loved that thing! |

nathanong87 GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS THREAD! read the original post you illiterate motherfucker. I asked "My question is how in the world do I fix it?" I understand I only paid $315 shipped to my door but that's because it was a group buy and we got a huge discount and I had 2 kits shipped to my house. they're not originally this cheap but even then the skirts shouldnt be so short that I cant wrap them around the fender to zip tie. thanks for the help though buddy

Through my process I was talking to a "Russ." All was good I was as professional as can be, just wanted them to give me another hatch that I could work with....again I understand inexpensive kits are not going to fit even 75%. All the sudden "Russ" is gone and I am now dealing with a "Joe." I was professional with "Joe" never got heated just wanted the problem corrected. Sent him pictures. Then he stop responding to me through PM. I still have all the PM's in my box to prove it. I paid through Paypal so I started a claim. Then he offered to give me $75 back. I never accepted and the case closed because I didn't accept. I have not re-opened it because I would just rather not deal with them EVER again and take my losses and try selling it on criagslist. I told them when the time came I would let others on multiple forums know to never do business with them. This is last February '11. Im just now commenting on my experience. I understand its America and they are trying to run a business to survive, but if you're going to sell sub-par products, at least have stellar customer service so customers "think" they didn't get screwed....c'mon chaser get your act together. OP - Good luck trying to get anything rectified by them. My suggestion is to either heat up(without burning) the wavy part and using clamps to slowly straighten it out or cut the wavy party out and fabricate a new straight piece. a lot of work to- in theory, save money. .02 cents |

Honestly, from what I've read...only way I would get anything from chaser would be drive my ass to MD with no bumpers and have them fit me a kit themselves. I'm not paying for shit that wouldnt atleast ziptie on the car...

Its just fiberglass thats how it is some of the kits come pretty bad some of them dont i got a URAS kit for my S13 from chasers was it perfect no was it in horrible shape no pretty much anything you get fiber glass is gonna need some work done to it so it can fit right no matter where it comes from.
To make your side skirts fit you might have to cut them and extend them |

fixed that for you. the only reason you think that is because you have probably never owned an authentic frp aero piece. don't assume everyone else buys shit aero and don't try and make people think a body kit shouldn't bolt right up and fit out of the box.

stop buying junk parts. a good kit will fit like butter ever seen a vertex kit? or even a shine auto? real trust aero? real BN sports? that shit lines up perfectly and will sit there without even adjustment. the problem is that everyone wants vertex quality for chaser price. for $300 a kit and you expect it to fit right??? good fucking luck. |
