Swap brake booster?

Do I have to swap the brake booster when doing an upgrade on brakes, calipers and rotors?? Preferably a 300zx brake system, 5lug onto a 1990 s13?

if you are going to go z32 on any car I'd swap the booster to the s14 abs one

Not necessary, but a z32 master cylinder is sometimes prefered though

Why not just get a booster from the 300z?

I have Z32 brakes and master but the booster is stock S13. The pedal is pretty firm, but I don't mind. I can still lock the tires easily.

Shameless plug, but I have an S14 ABS booster if anyone needs one. I took it out of my car when I removed the ABS system.

No reason to upgrade the brake booster unless yours is failing. Do your swap and use the appropriate master cylinder. I'm running a stock booster on my z32 swapped brakes just wonderfully. I suggest you limit your unnecessary spending and follow suit.

I'm only doing the brake and lug swap cause I'm putting a v8 into this chassis. Just want enough stopping power for 430horses.

If you are doing a V8 swap, you should be more than capable of searching these forums to find the answer as the topic has been covered many many MANY times.

Just look at any topic or thread of someone who has a proper build and has down a Z32 brake swap. Lots of people keep stock booster, S13 auto, or S14 ABS, etc. Just figure out what master cylinder size you want to run. Luckily this isn't rocket science. Just simple ass physics.

Horrible idea. The dual stage boosters give horrible pedal feel.

I personally run a tiny B13 booster and it feels nice. Just swap the MC pin and it goes right in.
