Many electrical gremlins!
Before you ask, yes, I have searched, and while I've found many issues similar to mine, I have found none that matched, and none of the solutions for the problems others had have worked for me.
My car is a 1990 hatch with a SOHC KA24E (hence my screen name lol)
Two days ago, almost everything on my car was functioning correctly. Today, I put new wheels on the front, and everything went kittywhompus. I don't think the wheels being changed were the culprit, but I could be wrong. My tach, speedo (needle, not digital), temp gauge, door chimes and power seatbelts do not work. The little clock on the tach that normally stays on all the time won't work at all. My battery light is dimly lit (battery tests good while running and not running). While driving the car, the blinkers didn't work (they lit up, and wanted to stay on instead of flashing, but only flickered a bit), and my back wiper made one stroke down and back up on its own. The radio would turn itself off for about a second, and come back on (its only wired to a switched power source, no constant). My left turn signal functions normally when the headlights are off, but stays on solid when the headlights are on.
Any ideas where to start diagnosing these issues? A friend had a similar issue and suggested checking my battery-to-chassis and engine-to-chassis grounds, both of which were good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, and thanks in advance!
