were all getting old!!!!
i was lookin at the bithdays for today and the average age was mid 20s and some were alot older than that, kinda makes me happy to know there is alot af maturity in the forum (sorta) i know i got my first 240 when i was 16 and ill be 27 in august. ive had 8 i think in that 11 years. im curious to know how many people are in the same boat? long time 240 lovers. i know we got alot of new owners out there to. wonder if we will be foolin with these cars when we are old men (or women) like these old hot rodders do now. fun to think about!!!!

i didnt even know what the car was when i got mine, i bought it off my stepdad who got it new. it only had around 30k miles.......makes me sad but i was 16 so i made it look all stupid with body kits and shit. you know early 2000s 240 stuff. the only place i ever saw sr20s were in magazines and they were the big ticket shit then.

The s13 coupe Im working on now was the first 240 Ive ever driven and that was back in like 96 Lol Belonged to my brother back then and he just gave it to me. Most of my cars have been a Nissan. The one Toyota I had was a POS 86.5 MKIII Supra and since then I havnt strayed from Nissans. My S13 is 23 years old and Im 32. Yeah were old...

I was fresh out of high school when the S13's first hit the dealerships and they sold like hot cakes. I did'nt really pay much attension to them at the time cause I was too in love with my 2dr 510 and I really wanted a Pathfinder. Got my first S13 in 2003 right before the first Fast & Furious.

I got into the game in 2005, came to Zilvia and got involved in Formula D in 2006, been here ever since. If the population is aging/maturing, I haven't noticed lol.
Don't I know it. I had a MK3 Jetta at the time and thought it was rad.

got my first 240 back in 02 (i was 19), first SR in 03 (had the motor for 7 years)....im turning 30 in january and im 240 #5 (not by choice, didnt want to get rid of #4, but being 20 grand made me sell the car)...slowly restoring #5 to a clean daily driver
i go out to drift events every now and then here in vegas and feel like the old geezer out...all the people driving are like early 20s oh yeah, and since when did american V8s become the "cool" thing to swap into a S chassis? do all these younger guys just not appreciate BUILDING a motor anymore? |

I see youngsters everywhere in the scene. They just don't post in threads like these. Check the stanced photo/ drift missle or drifting threads.
It is comforting to know a mature majority owns them now. I assume we'll make better decisions in terms of clean mods and no more garbage. This is probably also why you see some good $$ in builds now. We're all doing better financially as a whole lol.

I've always liked 240's since my friend's older brother would show me these "option" VHS tapes of cars driving around tracks and mountain passes, when I was in Grade school (GR 7-8). I had a S14 for a few years out of high school then sold it.
That being said, I'll always be tinkering with cars till I'm old and grey. It just might not be a 240... Quote:
