SR Sr20det afm problems! Help

So last week I started my sr20det after fixing a few boost leaks.
It started to idle really bad and blow black smoke. The weird thing is that if I unplug my MAF and plug it in again it will go back to a fine idle. It seems I need to do this every time I start the car from cold. Also if I touch the wiring to the MAF it will change how it's idling. The wiring has two different joiners done professionally but too many wire splices could be the problem? Or bad maf? Help me out I'm stumped!

Ok so I solved the problem if people want to know what it was. The two bolts that hold the fuel rail down(one was missing and one was loose) so if anyone has a really shitty idle. That could be your problem!
