KA rtv or cork rubber gasket?

was thinking what are you guys using.?
for the oil pan gasket are you using the rtv sealant fsm says to use it or did you just drop in a gasket from your local auto shop?
i used the rtv sealant and it's leaking worse than before.
gonna try again but just wanted to check what everyone else is using.

Just use permatex black.... Clean surfaces with carb cleaning. Dry for 2 minutes, hand tight for about 20 minutes, then tightened to tork spec....

rtv all the way. make sure you clean and dry both mating surfaces and make sure oil pan is not warped. lay about 1/16th of an inch thick on the whole width of the oil pan. let it dry for about 5 minutes and install. make sure you don`t hit anything that would wipe the rtv off the pan.
