You're better off trying them on and going from there. VSKF have a very forgiving face design unlike some full face wheels.

To give you an idea, 10.5 +20 can fit under the stock fenders. You slapped 50mm fenders on top of that, 50mm equates to rougly 2 inches. So you'd need in the ball park of that much spacers in the rear. 9j +35 is sunk as shit on stock fenders, worst than your rears. 9j +0 fits under the stock fenders. So just to get it there, 35mm spacers. You got 20mm wider fenders, so thats a total of 55mm spacers up front. 2 inch spacers all around are absolutely fucking retarded.

Was searching for the right rim/tire size and found this old comment with a similar question that I have. I've got an S13 hatch with Origin 20mm front fenders and 50mm rear fenders, stock brakes (might upgrade at some point) and coilovers. What's the best fit rim/tire size that I can buy without needing spacers or too much camber?

again, way too fucking vague

you can fit 17x8 +25 with 205/50/17 just fine

you can also fit 17x9.5 +5 with 215/40/17 and a lot more camber

we have no idea how low you plan to be, or what type of driving you do, or what your budget is.

this whole thread is filled with examples of what you're asking for, go forth and LOOK.

I did look. I referenced a link in my original post, which was the only one that I found from searching, that was similar to what I have, 20mm front fenders and 50mm rear fenders. In the link, the guy asks the following:

"Will 18x10.5 +20 fit under 50mm origin overfenders with stock brakes and coilovers and will 18x9.5 +20 fit under 20mm front fenders."

The response was basically that it wouldn't fit very well, but it doesn't mention what the ideal size would be to fit properly without having to use spacers.

I'm not looking to have my car slammed, more of a cruiser. I don't like to have it too low where I'm having to drive sideways to get over bumps. As for budget, I'm fairly open. I'd like to have as much of a deep dish as possible. Are there any other questions that I can answer to avoid from being too vague?

^x9 +0 or x9.5 +12 up front, x10 +0 or x10.5 +12 rear. Adjust accordingly with camber, ride height, and/or slip-on spacers to dial in the fitment how you want.

If you want it spot-on perfect and you're getting custom spec wheels, set the car at the height you want and use some wheels that are at least the same diameter as what you want, along with a ruler to figure out what specs you need.

BTW, running spacers is NBD. All these years I can't think of a single time I've seen one fail. You can safely run up to like a 8mm slip-on spacer on stock studs and up to 15mm on extended studs.

Thank you! This was exactly the kind of information I was looking for to get a baseline on what wheel size to buy for my setup!

Hello,

I have a set of work eurolines sl for an s14 which are o-disk, rear clears fine, front needs brake clearance.
Running stock brakes with abs. I think 15mm spacers should clear but I'm not completly sure. Anyone with a flat spoke design running with how much to just clear brakes?

what are the wheel specs? namely offset.
more or less if you get your specs to around +20 or so with spacers they should fit pretty nice

These are 18x9 + 20 fitted with 225/40 so I should be able to go +0 offset without rolling (-1.8 deg camber atm) but rolling is no problem in case.

You'd definitely need a roll, maybe a pull, or more camber. Get some washers and stack them on the studs until the brake clears, then measure how tall the stack is and that will be how large of a spacer you need. my guess is 10mm.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on these bad boys and putting them on my stock 95 240sx.
17x9 5x114.3 +42 offset. The rubber seem a little big at 235/45/17 what do you guys think fitment will be like, good or should I keep looking?

Not only would they be sunk, but they?d likely rub your suspension AND that price is absurdly high for Rotas. Keep it stock.

I am doing origin 45mm type 3 fronts and 55mm type 3 rears on my S14. I am thinking about running 18x10.5 -22 in the front and 18x12.5 -10 in the rear. I plan to be pretty low on coils. What do you guys think? I have Z32 fronts and stock rears.

I am currently running 18x9.5 +15 and 18x10.5 +15 on stock fenders with just a roll and some camber.

I guess I would rather go a little less aggressive and be able to compensate with spacers than to aggressive and have to go crazy with camber.

can someone who knows tire sizing share some knowledge ,got 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 rims ,what would best match these rims , not into the stretch look nor the maximum look ,want the best of both worlds , I'm thinking either 235/40 or 245/35 for the 18x9.5 and 265/35 for the 18x10.5
give me your thoughts and opinions ,want both front and back matching ,let's just say I'm settled on the rear just need the best sizing for the front

Car: stock body/suspension S13 180SX.

Mods that are going to be installed all in one go: Evo8 front calipers/rotors, z32 rear calipers/rotors/parking brake, 5 lug hub swap, Tein Super Street coilovers w/ front camber plate, z32 bmc, z32 parking brake cable.

I'm pretty confident that Gramlight DR57s in 17x9 will clear the front/rear calipers. The car linked here is running +22 offsets and seems to clear what look like z32/GTR front Brembos.

If I plan on running a less aggressive camber setup than him (-2ish front, just a bit negative in the rear) which should be feasible with the coilovers installed.

My main question is the GramLight 57DRs are available in +22 and +38 offset. I've been looking at the difference between the two using various websites and I mostly just want to know whether the +22 or +38 will clear the calipers and suspension better and what will require me to roll/pull fenders. My primitive monkey brain can't tell what's the better option between the two.

Wheels will be GramLight Rays 57DR 17x9 and tires will be 245/40/17 Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 (I live in the PNW, so wet traction is basically a summer tire). I'm not interested in slamming the car and don't mind having a bit of wheel gap if it means I clear the inner wheel area.

Edit: VividRacing has them in +12, +22, and +38 so any of those options are on the table.

+12 and +22 will work. +38 will hit your coilovers; for a 9J, this is too much offset.

+22 is the 'safer' choice in regards to the fender fitment, +12 is more aggressive. Since you want to run 245's all around I would try for the +22's, you will have an easier time getting the tires inside the fenders that way.

However, +22 might not clear your brakes. Rotor offset it what matters in this case. EVO rotors are fairly low offset, meaning the calipers/rotors will be closer to the spokes. Offsets to compare:

S13 stock: 29.2mm
GTR brembo: 23.75mm
350z brembo: 19mm
EVO brembo: 11.5mm

How the inside of the spokes are designed also has a big impact, however Rays are generally know to have good clearance.

Honestly, it's a bit of a toss up. +22 may require a small spacer to clear the brakes, +12 likely won't. +12 will need more camber/rolling, +22 won't. If I were you, I'd go +22, hope for the best, and toss on a spacer if it doesn't fit.

Good luck.

EDIT: These are 18x9.5 +22 DR57's on an evo... spokes look extremely close to me, and I have no idea if he's running a spacer. Of course the diameter and width are different, but still.

The Rays website says the +12 & +22 will clear "LANCER EVO.(VII~IX)". The +38 will not:

17 9J
― 12(50) Θη■#▲γΩ∑
― 22(40) Θη■#▲γΩ∑
― 38(24) η

・∑: LANCER EVO.(VII~IX)

Missed that bit, thanks for pointing it out!

Bought a fender roller and heat gun, probably going to end up with +12 and try my hand at destroying my fenders. Have to wait until the rest of my brake parts come in anyways so Feb will be wheels/tires in the mail and everything going in, should give me time to roll fenders.

Ended up with 2 sets of rear calipers as well so dual caliper setup whaaa....
