****Japanese IMPORT 180SX Build****

Right well iv been on the hunt for a Nissan SR20DET for a while now as some know and i went through all the phases - s14, 14a, 180sx, s15 back to a 14 and ended up with a 180 lol

I bought this off Steveone a few weeks back with brand new fresh NCT and i got it at a very very good price . I rathered the idea of buying a nice clean 180 and havin plenty of money to spend on it instead of buying a s15 and havin no money to spend on it. What really sold me about this car is it has genuine milage, proof it was well taken care of in Japan and a rediculously clean shell. It has 165 000kms which are definately genuine and there is no patches of rust anywhere on it. I will have this back up on a lift to take underbody and arch shots to show how stupidly clean this thing is

It started off by layin out side my girlfriend (JDeeM's) house as i had to wait for insurance to come through, i got fed up of it sittin there so it then went out to Dori-Rorys house where it sat for another week but finally today, THE INSURANCE CAME THROUGH so i drove it home

So thats the car as it sits outside my back door.

The first thing i did when i got it was throw on the uras front bumper, i know it is well battered but the car came with the standard front bumper and it was fuckin aweful looking. Next was to rip out the UNBELIEVEABLY SHIT HKS dumpvalve and put back in the standard intercooler pipe. The car runs 210% better without the dumpvalve. There is a lot more power and its very steady going up through the revs where with the dumpvalve the power was all over the place

So anyway, tonight when i came home, i landed home to a bit of a treat.

The first few wee bits and pieces i bought

I thought this was class till i went out side and seen MORE :happy) :happy)

My new Cusco 2way diff

My dash dodger bolt in cage

And I had this laying about aswell

Thats all for today, it was a good day in all fairness

On the way i have a dildo gearknob and checkered mats and hopefull i might be swappin the wheels for sumthing with a little more dish

Updates and more pics to come soon

I have the same tails and I love them, way better than the bullshit stock ones. I still wouldn't pick them over the kouki tails you had before though what's up with that??

Right well i spent my day off fittin these zenki sidelights to a uras bumper

I think they look alright, bit different, I like them bt

The old seat that is completely fucked - Itl be gettin ripped apart and il prob stick the bride material somewhere. Its still mankin with dirt from the last drift day

The new seat that im currently getting rails for, got this at an UNBELIEVEABLE PRICE thanks to johnny C bt

My two as new cusco coilovers for the back as the two on the back are welded to the high position

and this is the rail off the Bride, i seriously thought this was an oul homemade jobbie before i got it out

Found a few pound down the back of the couch so i went out and bought 20 marlboro and these

SSR PROFESSOR SP1's

Fronts are 17 x 9jj +11
Rears are 18 x 10jj +11

Shes gettin there

Well I bought the SSR's in January and in fairness they needed a hell of a refurb, the dishes were very very dead and the paint was falling off everywhere

So this is what they looked like before hand when i got them

I got them off the car and left them up to Marty Coyle (martycturbo) to refurb.

I took as much time off work as i can to go up and lend a hand

Marty got them split and sent the centres away to be sandblasted

I went at the dishes with scotch bright and ended up taking a lot of the ground in dirt off them

At this point i let Marty do his magic

I sat back with a cigarette and bottle of boost and took in the scenery

So after many many hours this is how the dishes ended up

I was unreal happy with the dishes but i couldnt believe my eyes when he got them painted, the colour was perfect and was exactly what i was after. These are the finished article with the studs all shined up and the wheels screwed back together

I also let the BURE do another drawing on my petrol cap

WIN :happy) :happy) :happy)

He means your rear fenders, and he's right, they don't look very good.
Good choice on staying with the stock tail lights aswell.
Nice car otherwise, wheels came out nice.

I havent been on here in a long time so may aswell show you all the work i did with this over the past year

So it was about time i got a new bumper

Bought this genuine Origin streamline off gems13

painted last night and fired her on this morning, paint is a wee bit out but fuck it, it should dull down

So aye, got a bit more done on this

have a few bits and pieces gathered

still lots more to come over the next few weeks

Nismo Vent thanks to Brian at driftkits

25mm chargespeed vented front wings

2 Recaros

The car is well stripped back at the min, old coilovers taken out and my new HSD Monopros should be here tomorrow

Got a set of Raybrigs and new headlight surrounds aswell

Car as its currently sitting at the mo. the thing is really clean underneath which is nice to see, only rust is a touch of surface rust here and there, underneath just needs a good cleaning down and then il underseal it the next full day i get at it

more to come soon

well they have finally arrived :afro:

DASH IN

DASH OUT

Picking up a mint dash off Martin Coyle tonight - one that has no cracks or anything from the heat. those cracks were doing my head in

UPDATE MOTHER FOOKERS

so been spendin me hard earned dabs on this recently

First off i bought this

Then i bought this

Then these

So i have the genuine kouki front going on and i also have the Origin streamline front bumper i did have so when both are painted i can chop and change or fire on the origin if im going shhhhliding

Also bought this - Vertex Rear bumper

Currently have a set of Origin tatakadasi 30mm rear quarters on route from japan so hoping they will be here by end of next week

I have the car all wire brushed down underneath, there is pretty much zero rust on the car which is excellent to see. the car was sealed before somewhere in all the right places so it is in extremely good condition, il get pics when its up on the lift to prove that. We will be undersealing it again tho just to make sure this thing will last longer than a sunday mass.

Fitted my new intercooler pipework, have one flexi hose to order and that should be it all saweet aswell

Plans are to bleed the brakes next sat and get the coilovers in and get her back on the ground. Hopefully next saturday evening we'l be getting her out of the garage and shel be going off for the big lick of paint inside outside underneath and under the bonnet. should be away for a month or so gettin everything done. deadline for this should be sometime in mid july

Took a wee half day cos it was nice and sunny

ended up fittin the coilovers

got a new alloy rad aswell

coilovers are only in temporarily to get it rollin so i can get it up for paint and then itl be stripped again and undersealed

Now its time for a BEER

Got a good bit done on this yesterday

Mahooosive thanks to ConorD1 for givin up his saturday to help

I dont really know where we started, stuff just kinda started gettin done

Removed the tint from the back 3 windows as it gives the car a far cleaner look and i want people to see the recaros and cage

before:

after:

Got the brakes all hooked up and coilovers set and bled brakes

Also removed all the aircon system, the 2 rads and aircon fans, pump and pipe work - there was a lot in this so was good to get out and will make the bay a LOT less cluttered

before :

after (bling bling):

While i was up front conor took out the sounddeadening in the rear for me so when its painted itl be nice and flat, im going to leave the sound deadening under the carpet at the front as this is going to be a road car and it wont be seen. il more than likely be keeping the stripped interior at the back

This is how we left it at 11 last night and it was off to the pub for Beer. she should be back on 4 wheels today and within the next week taken off for paint

So the Origin 30mm quarters landed today all the way from Origin in Japan

MAHOOSIVE thanks to Jesse Streeter, cheapest i could have got them anywhere and they were here within days

The finish on these is unfuckinbelievable

So i went down and screwed the coilovers down some more and tested the wings and quarters against the wheels

Were getting there :happy)
