Is this 240 worth $3900?
Alrite well I haven't been on the 240 scene for too long so before I purchase this one, I wanted to see what others think it's worth.
1993 Nissan 240sx coupe 5 speed clean I appreciate any and all the input, thanks guys. |

i got my 93 coupe in a fairly clean state w/ sr and a few upgrades including a gt2876r for 4k. And the a/c doesn't even work on that thing. You can do better for 4k or ask him to go lower.

So glad I made this thread...Ok so I offered him 2900. He said 3500. I agree with the comment about being able to find sr's and s14's for around the same price, but around Chicago, it's a little tougher. Maybe I could get him down to 3300, but I'm not sure.
Here's the other 240 I'm looking at. http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/1245293258.html |

waaay overpriced. I wouldn't pay over $2000 for a stock 240. maybe an s14, but not an s13.
btw, just to let you know, a silvia front end runs at around $700... |

Even 2900's still kind of steep for a clean stock coupe...tell him to keep the rims (even though they have re01's) and take 2500 only becuase the framerails are fresh.

The frame rails look wierd on that thing. Is that the undercoat that they used on it. It almost looks like they put paste on it everywhere you can see a little line. You should ask him if the fame rail were repaired once before?

When i bought mine. The guy wanted $3500 for my 93 hatch, cleanest hatch i've ever seen where everything was basically in mint condition, except the seat, with only 120k. I offered him $2500 cash the next day and he took the deal. I am very happy now...

call him up, say you want to look at it, and bring $2,800 - $3,000 CASH with you and i bet you will go home with a new car. i would say that's a fair price for a CLEAN coupe where it's at, most of the people who have responded don't know what RUST is.

i paid a tad over 6k for my 95 SC300 w/ 95k on the odo. this piece of shit has bald tires, broken AC, and bullshit suspension/wheels... for 4k? get the fuck outta here.
its a fucking 240SX and it doesnt even operate 100%. at least my SC was in fully operable condition. tell that fuck face of an owner to come here so that we can remind him how stupid he's being for trying to sell a 2000 dollar car for 4k. fucking asshole, piss me off when im eating this badassed breakfast burrito. |

wrote down the VIN did a search and it was in 2 accidents. frame rail right where it bends up towards the motor was patched with putty, (somethin like bondo i guess). its flat, doesnt have that rough surface, and the framerail looks "Fresh" as stated above because it was repainted/resprayed stay awayzzzz. EDIT: if the car hasnt sold its probably still at the U-haul on S.27th in oak creek. just my view. go ahead if you want

Its not even 5 lug with upgraded brakes. Stupid rims. How about upgrading those seats to at least 180sx seats or something newer. I'd bargain to $2000 if its really "clean" and there are no hidden surprises.

Psssh I paid $4,500 including fees for my mint hatch with a freshly rebuilt sr. Not a spec of rust anywhere on the car, god that thing was immaculate when i got it. I'd keep shopping or try and get him down to around $2,500 or maybe a little lower and tell him to keep the honda wheels.

only reason I paid 3k for my s13 was because it had fresh interior, mods, but most of all it had 67k miles on it
