Question Please Forgive me

I have built jeeps and truck all my life and i am a complete newb on these cars.First off please forgive me on asking about a subject that has been beat to death from what i have seen allover the internet. Long story short, i am helping my stepdaughter who has a s13 sohc and have transplanted a dohc out of a s14. I do not have a ecu for the s14 dohc, but i do have one for a s13 dohc. i know now this will not work. I have a harness for the s14, could i just get a s14 ecu? Again thank you in advance

Yes you can just use an s14 ecu and it will work, as long as all the intake manifold sensors plug into your s14 harness and your using the correct MAF
