1JZGTE problems

Wanted to know if there were any 1jz guru's on here I know theres 2j guys but we arent the same. mods: 1jzgte stock twins, DP,FMIC, Safc2 no significant tune
Problem 1: leaning out thru the power band (before hitting full boost).
As I step into it in second thru 5th the car will get richer from 14.7 to 13ish then drop to 17 and then back to 13ish I can really feel a gap in performance it almost platueas across from 2800 rpm to 3200 then feels normal again
I was wondering if i could correct this with the SAFC and not need it tuned or IF you guys think itd be best to pay 600 for a dyno/tune sesh
Problem 2: mysterious knocking sound at idle im pretty sure this isnt a rod bearing issue as I cant hear the knocking get louder under load and I have changed the 3 times in the last 2 weeks looking for shavings but have found none. The KNocking IS NOT constant it seems to come and go I plan on replaceing the timing belt pulley b/c I think it might be cracked and causing the noise.
I will upload pictures and videos later tn ANY help is appreciated zilvia

-you might have a lifter tick. remove the cam covers and change the gaskets. you can use 7mgte cam cover gaskets.

-do you have an adj fuel pressure reg?

Any engine codes? Did you have the problem before the safc? I'd remove the safc and check afr's.

I might be mistaken but I wasn't aware you could check for codes on a 1jz, what kind of reader could I use to read the codes?
