S14 KA24DE Koyo- low engine temps + other question
I installed a koyo onto my ka24de.
Bought it because it was a good performance mod, I thought it looked cool, and it was cheap. Everything worked okay, but now my car doesn't look like it's getting to operating temp. The needle barely goes past the first line. I put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator to warm it up. And it worked for a while. Now I noticed a coolant leak under my car towards the back. I'm not sure if it's related to the cardboard, so I removed it for the time being. Has anyone else had the same problem? Any advice? Anyone know where the leak is coming from possibly? Maybe the heater line on the back? I just want to get an idea of where to look first. Thanks!

I have a thermo, but it might be old. I didn't change it when I changed the water pump

I had a thermo stuck open in mine, so I replaced it, bled the air out for at least 25 minutes, and it still overheated, I was told that the ka24de requires an oem thermostat rather than one from a parts store? Is that true? It sucks not having heat
