3 questions before I finish rebuild and start.

1st. Little bro fliped head over while cleaning and lifters fell out... Im told they have to go in a specific order? This cant be true i mean there all the same right?

2nd when i bought the car it had an Apexi SAFC II. Should i remove this before starting and just run on stock settings? I know I could just put the settings to stock but honestly just before i started the rebuild I had just started to learn the basics of adjusting it. So im not to sure if it would in fact be at stock settings.

3rd so reguardless of the 2nd question does anyone know some solid settings for the safc? I mean ive seen some youtube vids but im looking for someone who has good results from setting these up.

This is the set up to help with settings. Any help/advise will help im days away from pulling the pin on this granade... hope it doesnt blow.

KA24DE 95 S14
DC exhaust mani w/apexi 3in cat back
OBX pulley kit
Godspeed intake manifold
stock fuel... i know
14lb flywheel/ spec stg.2 clutch
AC gone
short ram
rebuilt with OEM rods, pistons, timing kit... say what you want but its not boosted lol
and full Z32 brake swap
Z33 wheels
Energy sus bushings and subframe
Eibach springs
OEM shocks
B&M shifter
aluminum rad.
maybe some other stuff...

1. If they fall out of order it's not a big deal, you will just need to re-shim everything. If you're not assembling the head just mention it to the assembler.

2. throw it away

3. settings don't matter, throw it away there is no reason it should be on your car.

i agree with everything Om1kron says

but my question is why are you trying to tune a N/A motor with a SAFC? Maybe gain 10hp if that is even possible?

and why are you so upset for running stock fuel? with your setup you wont need anymore than what you have already

I think he mentioned the car had it on there to begin with, he bought the car from someone else that maybe had no clue what they were buying and slapped it on the car for no reason.

SaFC = do you want more or less detonation?

The better question is why is he putting anything godspeed on this car, and whats wrong with the stock ka intake manifold?

I personally wish everyone would do research on all of the shit they buy and slap on their cars before they go spending a bunch of money on shit that looks cool so they can open their hoods and go "look at all this money I spent on worthless shit, but fuck I can't figure out why it doesn't run right."

Shit boggles my mind.

lol love the criticism. well the intake mani is really just because i am planning on going ka-t by the end of the summer but hey if you say no need then no need trust me im not trying to spend any extra $$. Ive done everything in my garage so far. as for the safc... when i did mess with it and bumped the fuel way up i kinda noticed a difference but thats why i was asking. im 50/50 on the ka-t idea, i mean id rather go RB or SR and thats why i did all the sus. mods in this rebuild. so i will take the advice and pull the safc and save the $$ and not get the manifold... thanks because i was about 2 days away from ordering it. again thanks for the hard love.
