project KA boom!
So im new here. ive only owned my s13 for about a month. payed $1000 for it. motor had a supposed 115k on it. its a 1991 hatch. body isnt in the best shape but its okay they call it a sleeper for a reason i brought her here home knowing shed be a project. on the drive home she wouldnt go in to first so that first weekend i had her up and found out the gear box was missing 2 bolts and the rest wherent even tight. fixed all that and now she shifts like butter. a few days after that she started over heating so i replaced the thermo and it just not got better. found out the headgasket was blown. so as the project started.. ima post some pics of the car and the progress as she goes..
first day home: from this: to this: and as the project began.. Tomorrow we're pulling the motor and from there ill start taking it apart. only gonna replace a few minor things and clean up the block. plans are gonna go as follows... painting the block black. port the head. replace fuel filter and injectors. piston rings and valve guide seals. water pump. (thermo was just put in.) cold air intake. ngk plugs and wires. bigger after market radiator with elec fans. A/C delete. full 3' exhaust system along with header. ill keep you all posted!!! |

Oh all too-familiar a sight right there, lol.
Anyways, good luck with it - don't hesitate to ask questions. I've had my KA's apart probably 10+ times, feel free to PM me. |
