ever thought about 1jz/2jz, rb25, rb26? pretty sure you can get those motors cheaper than we can in the u.s.

You're definitely right, there are endless mint motors of all kinds floating around. The main thing for me I think was emissions. BC specifically has bullshit emissions laws that are tied into insurance & licencing here (it's all one huge company/fucking monopoly) So basically, to keep this thing street/daily any motor setup would have to be kept pretty much stock since it has to meet KA24DE requirements. So i figured whats the point of a 2J if I have to keep it stock. SR had a little more wiggle-room for power. I ALLLMOST went RB25 but for the ease of install, price, sheer amount of parts floating around, I decided SR. Apparently they are ditching this emmissions shit 2014...so when that happens, I may have to rethink motors.

Theres a fat washer on the other side of the fender to help it from ripping out. Plus I feel like the o-ring or whatever would snap before the fender ever does.

So I had the option to paint it any color in the world, which was tough for me. I was really tempted to go bright red a la Frizzle, but I really dont want to step on anyone's toes. Plus locally I'm known as "that purple s14" haha so I decided to keep it midnight purple but tweak the mix just a bit. It's always been deep midnight with purple/blue flake...but this time it's more purple/plumey with a fuck-ton more flake......like stupid flake. This time the overall spray is also a much more expensive and higher quality job. This is the last time I wanna have to spray it for a WHILE...so I wanted lots of durability and lots of clear.

Hats off to Steven Thompson/OZ Designs/Drift Union for fucking nailing my vision yet again. For the second time, I just told him what I was thinking, and trusted him to do his thing. The paint is ALWAYS the first thing people comment on at shows and shit and I owe it all to Steve.

Christmas eve sext from Steve...

And rolling out of the booth Christmas morning....Possibly the best xmas gift I've ever recieved lol

Still lots of work to do but for now....I'm pretty fucking happy!

Not the best pic but it's circled in red here. Perfect spot to quickly yank it shut when I see a cop. I'll try and get a better pic next time I'm at the car.

So yesterday the sun peeked out justttt a little, so I booked it to the garage to get the car into the sun for the first time.

Mind. Fucking. Blown.

My camera's autofocus couldnt even handle the paint, it would just go apeshit trying to focus haha. This was only sort of sunny, through like hazy clouds. I cant even imagine it full-on in the sun.

I've put my ECV handle thru the cigarette lighter hole. It always seem at home in there.

Also, your exhaust look like mine? Guess my exhaust likes the left side more than the right side.
