Seems like people are more interested in the way I said Frisco than the actual meet itself. I live in Sacramento and I do say Frisco, San Fran, The Bay, but who cares. Sacramento has a few names for itself.(Sac, Sactown, Sacto, Cap city)

Born and raised in the City by the Bay
Right on to those who call it "the city." Thats wut real Bay Areans should call it. "Frisco," although the term does have its long history, is not proper, inclucing "the sco." Ive heard these, but no complaints of these:
San Francisco San Fran the City San Pancho PS theres even a laundrymat on Hayes thats called "Dont Call It 'Frisco'"! Back to topic: I love this idea! I live a few doors down from der. Im down! Ive been tryin to put out the idea of havin meets at the beach, so, cool, finally.

unfortunately i won't be able to make it to the meet, sounds like it'll be good though. i like that spot |

Oh yeah, i forgot, actually saying "SF" is getting a lil more popular use. i guess since we call Los Angeles LA, and NYC, ATL, wutever, etc., u kno. And actually, i say that a lot now too. Ess-Eff!/ the big Ess-Eff!
Oh, and i also forgot "SFC" on that list.

Re: Born and raised in the City by the Bay
Ya I'm born and raised too. So are all my boys, and we all call it "Frisco."
Whatever's clever. Different strokes for different folks I guess. :P I guess I'll come through to the meet. Got nothin' better to do that day. :P Quote:

im debating if I should show up. Havent taken the KAT on a trip longer than to tracy or stockton. Ill see if the rest of the crew wants to go. That would make 4 more 240s

Good and Bad news.
Bad: My 1990 300ZX NA auto, tranny gave out last week and I wont be able to drive myself there. I have purchased a JDM Twin Turbo 5spd front clip though and will be doing the conversion for the next couple weeks!!! finally i get to boost! I might have my friend drive his 240sx if he doesnt have to work. If anyone is near or going through the Sacramento area and has room in their car for me give me a call. I'd appreciate it since I helped setup this meet and now might not even get to go. Good: The meet is still on. There will be mostly 300s and 240s attending. We will be meeting at the northern most parking lot below the Cliff House at 11am. Around 12-12:30 we will be cruising to get some food. Some of the other guys setting up this thing know more than me. any questions call me (916-802-1886)Kip leave a message if I dont pick up. I got finals this week!!!aaahhh Last edited by Kearney916; 05-28-2003 at 12:30 AM.. |

Well, I had a good time and met some cool people. I thought this was a 300zx meet, where were you guys? I guess the organizer of the meet never made it. Only 3 300zxs and one wasn’t even there for the meet. I think he was too scared to get out of his car.
But it was a good 240 meet with maybe 6 or 7 s13s and 3 or 4 s14s (and an FD). iggy even broke out his CA (complete with jdm bumper support and tape ) which was pretty cool. Good times were had by all and I hope to see everyone again at DD6 so we can let the socal guys know that there is a strong 240 contingent in norcal. Last edited by NZO; 05-31-2003 at 05:23 PM.. |

yeah that was a pretty cool meet. decent amount of cars were there but not as much as i hoped. getting my rims made my day a whole lot better. now time to put them on. I might go do that right now. anyways where was the person that set up the meet? maybe we should have waited longer at ocean beach but we chilled there for about an hour. then went to nations/una mas. pretty good turn out though.

Nice meeting everyone. Loved the JDM S14... whose was that? Good luck legalizing it!
Next meet I'll actually bring my car... It was in the shop that day. I was riding in my friend's black 240 with the 15" Volks. |
