engine virbration

alright well i rebuilt the ka24e in my 240sx, and it seems to shake alot, i don't know if its the motor mounts, but it shakes alot, it is running on all 4 cylinders, as you can tell by the sound, and it is timed right, plus it doesn't backfire or anything..

it just shakes alot..

also one thing i may include is i am using an a/t ECU, may that be the problem?

the engine only shakes during idle, then gets smooth when i rev it.. hmmm

so many variables to diagnose when its just a rough idling engine.

  1. Do a complete tune-up. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air/fuel filter, timing.
  2. check all vacuum hoses and replace or fix as needed
  3. Dirty Throttle body (clean with a dirt free rag and card cleaner)
  4. IACV plugged or faulty (clean with a dirt free rag and card cleaner)
  5. egr valve and or egr system dirty or malfunctioning. (clean with a dirt free rag and card cleaner)
  6. possibly the motor or transmission mounts are going bad or too soft. (needs new parts)
  7. exhaust system is obstructed at any point, manifold, cat, or muffler (needs new parts)
anyone feel free to add to this.

glw diagnosing.
