Bumper Quick release clips
Hi guys, I was trying to find a place where I can get those quick release bumper fasteners for easy removal of aero. Anyone know where I can get something like that or maybe a good lowes or home depot equivalent. These are what I am talking about: (picture of MS!3 's car)

they appear to be toolbox latches. found on those diamond plate pickup truck tool boxes and regular portable tool boxes.

Looks like what you did is drill 2 holes on the panel, and one on the bumper.put bolts in em. then zip tied them around the bolts.. and zip tied were your supose to bolt them behind the rear wheel right?

So do the one's you posted. Any external fastener looks like ass.
Just ziptie your shit at the stock bolt holes, or don't be a lazy-ass when it's time to remove your aero.

Check this out:
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/gro...?GroupID=LATCH These guys usually have a great assortment of Race car latches and fastners. I'm thinking they should have something similar to what you are looking for. |

crawling under the bumper to re ziptie them is too much work :ghey:
external zipties for the quickness and you when your car is lowered so much that you have to roll it onto 2x4's to even get a jack under it to take off the aero external zipties save time and its not a pain in the ass to work on your car as much |

I think you use rubber bands for those janks.
I used to have a bumper with clips like the OP my bumper got taken off and my IC stolen. something to think about, if it's easy for you, it's easy for others too.

hahaha, yeah i would never consider leaving my car out in the open if I had those style latches. Learned that back in junior high when quick releases on bike seats were all the craze, had to stand up the whole way home.

i took my seat off and put it in my locker soapgun, on both the front and rear bumper, how many actual mount points are there?...it seams like the rear could get easily ripped off. did you ever have a problem with like a curb pulling one off or just high speed?

Dude, IIIXziuR. Thanks for posting that pegasus racing link. Lots of cool stuff on there. I am probably getting these:
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro....asp?RecId=777. They were exactly what I am looking for. And yeah, I know what you guys are talking about when you say you wouldn't want to leave your car in the open with these. Fortunatley I live in a small PA town with basically zero crime except the occasional convenience store robbery and tons of DUI's (college town, haha). An hour away on the other hand is a town where you can't leave your car anywhere cuz shit gets stolen all the time no matter how nice or shitty your car looks. |
