Question Walbro 255 loud whine

Hows it going everyone first post here. I have a 91 s13 coupe with a mostly stock ka twin cam with just emissions/vacuum delete. I just got a new fuel tank for it as well as a new fuel pump I installed them at the same time. Everything is all fine and dandy with the pump when I first start the car as its pretty quiet maybe just slightly louder than stock but after like 10 or so minutes of driving around the pump gets VERY loud like I can almost hear it over my fart can catback and its very noticeable from outside the car. If I turn the car off for at least like 5 or so seconds and start it back up the pump goes back to being quiet but then after some driving it gets progressively louder again. The car isn't bogging or missing and I have a new fuel filter+feed line from the pump. Any thoughts?

I ordered it from Enjuku racing so I would hope its not a fake and yeah I put the new sock on and the new tank was plenty clean, Might have to email either enjuku or walbro themselves.

You can always do some bench testing without pulling pump by disconnecting fuel line at filter and jumping fuel pump to see if you can recreate the noise. Walbro usually have a whining sound alot louder than stock.

Pump's gonna die if it's that loud, you have to be super careful where you get them from, i've heard of knockoffs getting sent to decent distributors back in the day. Happened to me a few years ago. A GOOD walbro 255 shouldn't make much noise.

I used to go to enjuku for almost everything. Lately theyve been falsely advertising stock levels/prices and have just been drop shipping basically everything. So buying a walbro pump from enjuku rn is literally buying it from a mystery distributor in a time when fake walbros are rampant. If I was going to order another fuel pump rn I'd order it from radium engineering. Maybe its my

what voltage is the pump getting when it is whining ? poor wiring/voltage drop can cause the pump to make noise and burn out prematurely
