I appreciate the comments. But...I of course already know that a C5 could clear 200mph in the mile with far less work. For me, cars are science, art, and speed, not in an particular order. Most of the fun is the "built, not bought par

The $6500 for the for the car was a couple thousand over market, but it saved me from fixing the mistakes and accidents of others. Some things I can do myself, but fixing rust, recovering a cracked dash board, fixing door dings, are all things I have to pay a shop to do. I am building a car that goes fast and looks good.

I am all ears if someone wants to reccomend a car that:
takes an LS motor fairly easily
has a smaller frontal are and drag coefficient
weighs less than a S13 with all the available lightweight parts
has better aftermarket support
has some room behind the seat(mostly for legroom in front, as I am tall, so many mid-engine cars are out)
I ruled out rx-7's.
