S13 hatchback Rocketbunny build
Im not too crazy on taking pictures but figured I'd share what I have with the community
Ill start off with the finished product first. I wanted to build something decently fast, that I have drive now and then and have some fun. Something that looked good, and was pretty fast. I do not drift, I just drag race and take a turn here and there. This is how she sits today. The car is at a perfect height for the wheels to turn correctly and still be drivable. Here is how i bought her at the beginning of the year. (She was basically a stock hatch with an SR, it had a GT35R with some chinese manifold.) Got some help from my little one to help me mock up some parts. I stripped the motor basically bare and replaced what was necessary. Here I was using a freddy mani to fab all the brackets, I also got around to spray the engine bay with some satin black that looks great. I ditched basically 99% of the parts that were on the car, I think the only thing I kept were the flex a lite fans. Called DOC race for a turbo manifold Here you can also see a chase bays power steering kit I did as well Called Doc race once again for the downpipe Excellent work Redid all of the wiring on the car, braided sleeving, AN fuel hoses, Greddy intake etc. (Blurry) It basically got to the point that I replaced majority of parts in the engine bay. New timing kit, rad, intercooler, pulleys, water pump, starter, alternator etc. The turbo I ended up using is a precision billet series 58/ 57 back 5 lug, 300zx front and rear brakes, done with all brand new hardware including e-brake parts. New steering rack, and all new ball joints and extended studs. Most of the bushings on the car were replaced, and all brake hoses. I wanted to keep these wheels Cutting the rear quarters folding the inside up Welded. Then I ran into this problem. The car would not turn with the wheels and tires I chose. At this point the car had a 20mm spacer up front because the tire would not clear the coilover inside. But the 20mm was making the tire run into the flares and the inside of the wheel well. So i was able to cut some of the inside of the flares and run a 10mm spacer with no rubbing issues. The wheel and tire spec are 18x10.5 +15et 285/35 close up of initial trouble here it is corrected Some more pics Wrapping the rear bumper Replacing the front windshield I also replaced all the window moldings on the car Wrapped the dash, gauges, steering wheel, shifter etc. Her first wash I will be posting more HD pictures as time passes because like I said, I am not too fond of taking pictures while working on the car.
